Nazi armband wearing racist harasses black man in Seattle, gets tracked down knocked out.

Courtesy of Buzzfeed:

On Sunday afternoon, a Twitter account called @bigotbasher posted a photo of a man apparently riding Seattle's D line while wearing a swastika armband.

The user wrote that the photo was submitted to them by a third party. @bigotbasher wrote in their tweet that the man in the armband was harassing a black man on the bus. BuzzFeed News has reached out to the person behind the @bigotbasher account for comment.

The picture was picked up by a few anti-fascist–affiliated Twitter accounts that quickly got to work trying to identify the man.

That all led to this post:

Somebody took @teethinclaws up on his suggestion, and this was the result. (Warning: video contains brief violence and language.)

The gentleman who punched the neo-Nazi out has not been identified, but apparently he is NOT a member of AntiFa.

I am have a couple of opinions about all of this.

First I don't think that anybody should feel that it is okay to walk around adorned in Nazi paraphernalia. And to verbally harass a minority while wearing said paraphernalia is just looking for trouble.

And secondly I can tell you that if I were 30 years younger I would undoubtedly be applauding these actions and wanting to knock a few Nazi assholes out myself.

However I am NOT in my twenties and I know that as much as this asshole was asking for trouble he was not using physical aggression so did not deserve to be met with physical aggression.

Verbal interactions, however heated, are still only verbal interactions.

When you introduce physical violence, now matter how justified you may feel, you are now in the wrong.

Not only that but this will certainly be used by other Nazis and White Supremacists as a recruiting tool and to prove that the white man is under assault, which will then justify in their minds any violence that they may resort to in future confrontations.

If people are not more careful this all may actually lead to an honest to goodness race war, and I don't see how that benefits anybody.

Video has been taken down, so tell us, was the Nazi beaten up by a white man or a person of color. If white, I don't think it can be used as a recruitment tool.

I saw the video on Buzzfeed. The man had a grey hoodie on and his head/face were blurred. Based on his hands and arms, he was black, but it was quick so I couldn't be sure. I hope it stays up for a while because I enjoyed it.

    2. Since many Anarchists wear black ski masks, gloves and hoodies, it would be difficult to say what race he was if it was fast and blurry.

We are already in a race war. It just came out from the underground. Trump is leading the way.

OT Trump is addressing the UN. He opens boasting of stock market, jobs and companies moving back. He is reading a speech written by others. Trump does not speak like this speech.

The rump is reading a nice speech to the world. He is fully restrained. It is too bad everyone listening knows that he and his ilk are the toxic waste stirring the nasty hate in this world. He is waving his tiny fingers around his fake concern for the americans and world. Clearly trump was forced to give this decent human speech. He did not write it, he does not feel it, he is untrustworthy and a professional con artist.

    1. You're joking, right? Restrained? He is threatening to obliterate North Korea. Saying it quietly and calmly instead of screaming at the top of his lungs doesn't mean he's "restrained" or that the speech is "nice."

      That speech was hardly "decent."

Former White House aide Sebastian Gorka is joining a little-known group known as the “MAGA Coalition,” Axios reported early Tuesday. The news outlet said Gorka will serve as the group’s “chief strategist,” and his first appearance for the group will be at rally in Montgomery, Ala. on Thursday to support former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore's Senate bid. Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will also be featured at the fundraiser, according to Axios.

“Answering violence with violence is not the answer. Our goal is to work diligently to make positive change at Georgia Tech in an effort to ensure a safer campus for all students.”
"his shooting also draws attention to another disparity in police use of force: People who are suffering from mental illnesses are much more likely to be killed by police, and the cops often don’t have the proper training to handle such situations." 16x more.
    "Deescalation is always the intention,”
"Legally, what most matters in police shootings is whether police officers reasonably believed that THEIR lives were in immediate danger," The first circumstance is “to protect their life or the life of another innocent party” — what departments call the “defense-of-life” standard. The second circumstance is to prevent a suspect from escaping, but only if the officer has probable cause to think the suspect poses a dangerous threat to others."
"“they basically say that the job of a cop is to protect people from violence, and if you’ve got a violent person who’s fleeing, you can shoot them to stop their flight.”
The key to both of the legal standards — defense of life and fleeing a violent felony — is that it doesn’t matter whether there is an actual threat when force is used. Instead, what matters is the officer’s “objectively reasonable” belief that there is a threat."

I agree with you in theory Gryph, but in practice I lose my temper. I'm an old lady so probably could not knock the guy out, but if provoked like that I'd kick the guy in the crotch. Just sayin'.

When will the 'crying' sequel be out? Will he be nursing the bump on his noggin as he weeps about being a misunderstood genocidist with feelings. I suspect this idiot with the ossified shit for brains will not change his 'world view'. He will be back with his pals on the alt-right sites being angry and indignant. Ossified shit for brains doesn't learn no matter how many bumps on the noggin it endures.
