Donald Trump gets the sads about losing all of those "beautiful statues and monuments" to the traitors who fought for the Confederacy in the Civil War.

Yeah those statues must seem really beautiful, unless of course you happen to be a black person whose ancestors were slaves in this country, or even a white person whose ancestor gave their life to defend this country against an army that rose up to battle for the right to keep human beings as property.

But to others who are not among those clearly prejudice folks, I am sure the statues and monuments must seem awesome.

I have been hearing for months now that Steve Bannon was the representative of the Alt-Right racists in the White House, but based on the interview that I posted earlier, and these tweets, I am beginning to firmly believe that the head Nazi in the White House is Trump himself.

Remember this:

Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler's collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed.

I guess this was Hitler's long game.

Sure he lost the 2nd World War, but now after more than 70 years one of his followers is finally in charge of America.

And the Republicans helped him do it.

“In some ways, Trump would rather have people calling him racist than say he backed down the minute he was wrong,” one adviser to the White House said on Wednesday about Charlottesville. “This may turn into the biggest mess of his presidency because he is stubborn and doesn't realize how bad this is getting.”

For Trump, anger serves as a way to manage staff, express his displeasure or simply as an outlet that soothes him. Often, aides and advisers say, he’ll get mad at a specific staffer or broader situation, unload from the Oval Office and then three hours later act as if nothing ever occurred even if others still feel rattled by it. Negative television coverage and lawyers earn particular ire from him.

White House officials and informal advisers say the triggers for his temper are if he thinks someone is lying to him, if he’s caught by surprise, if someone criticizes him, or if someone stops him from trying to do something or seeks to control him.

Remember when that thug Trump supporter said something about what would happen if he didn't build the wall? Wasn't he referring to a group that would kill him? Literally kill him like dead.

Are those fools still waiting for him to build the wall they expect?

    The Breitbart Presidency

If Van Jones was right, that a moving tribute to the widow of a fallen Navy SEAL in a speech to Congress earlier this year was the moment Donald Trump became president, Trump’s news conference on Tuesday was the moment he became a Breitbart contributing editor.

Charlottesville has been a diminishing event for President Trump. He has been unable to summon the moral authority of his office, even though this wasn't a difficult test.

It doesn't take political skill or crisis-management ability to show largeness of heart. It doesn't require knowledge to demonstrate basic moral discernment. It doesn't take a Demosthenes or a Churchill to say the appropriate things about a couple of hundred racist goons. Future historians will marvel that one of the most damaging events in the early Trump administration came in a botched response to a neo-Nazi rally. Even Jake and Elwood Blues could have gotten this right.

Over the past few days, Trump hasn't spoken as the leader of the country, or even leader of one party, but as a leader of an inflamed faction. This is why it was almost unthinkable that he would give a unifying talk, as any other president would, at the funeral of Heather Heyer, the young woman slain in the vehicular attack by an "alt-right" protester.

Trump’s sensibility is highly unusual for a politician—let alone for the leader of the free world—but very familiar from the internet or social media. As his news conference showed, his level of argument is at the level of a good Breitbart blogger, or of a Twitter egg of yore. He would absolutely kill it in the comments section of a right-wing website or trolling a journalist.

Trump knows some things; covers the weaknesses of his case with sheer aggression; doesn't care about consistency or common sense; wants to play to the base rather than reach the persuadable middle; and feels liberated from any standards of respectability.

What stands out from you comment to me was that Obama would have been there to eulogized Heather Heyer. Trump just sits in his office defending the people that are calling her a whore. It would have eaten Trump alive if Obama HAD shown up to eulogized her. Classic.

All that needs done is to remove all the "TRUMP" insignias on all buildings in America and other countries. Remember, the ones reflecting his name are on buildings that are not owned by him! He paid to have his name reflected on many of them!

Trump's name should be demolished on as many buildings as possible - especially after his impeachment or resignation!

Let him play golf on his courses until he can no longer move or, better yet, dies.

    4. His tenants are already suing to have his name removed from the buildings and the buildings and even streets renamed.

They claim and rightly that his name depreciates property values.

Actually, they pay him. Licensing of his name. ANd we're likely to see just how much (or how little) he gets. I hear Mueller has those tax returns - ALL of them.

    6. Sorry, but his name is already gone from a hotel in Canada and an apartment complex in New York. they petitioned the condo board claiming Trump's name on the building lowered their property values. They won. The name was removed.

It's going to happen more often now.

I'll bet his foreign investors dry up too. When he resigns from the presidency or is kicked out in disgrace, they aren't going to want his name on a building.

And his name is ALL he has. Once his "brand" is worthless, so is he. He isn't a billionaire. He might be a millionaire, depending on if he diverted enough tax payer dollars to pay all of his debts. But I doubt it. I'll bet he's still in hock to the Russians. And they are so not happy with him.

  10. "For someone so ostensibly concerned with history, Trump seems to have forgotten his own track record with historic artifacts. In fact, shortly after the president tweeted his remarks, The New York Times’ Michael Barbaro kindly reminded Trump that he had destroyed a “beautiful statue” in 1980 in order to construct Trump Tower.

To build his skyscraper, Trump demolished the Bonwit Teller building, which was erected in 1929 and included a historically significant Art Deco relief. The Metropolitan Museum of Art was reportedly interested in preserving the artwork around the time of the building’s demolition, and, according to a 1980 report from the NYT, Trump originally agreed to donate them to the museum as long as the price wasn’t too high.

It turned out, however, the price was too high ($32,000). Instead of preserving and gifting the reliefs, Trump ordered demolition workers to jackhammer them and shatter the remains. Allegedly posing as his fake spokesperson John Baron, Trump described the relief to the NYT as being “without artistic merit,” adding “the merit of these stones was not great enough to justify the effort to save them.”

Members of the art world, however, strongly disagreed, with gallery owner Robert Miller describing the loss as “tragic.” As Ashton Hawkins, vice president and secretary of the Board of Trustees at the Met put it, “Can you imagine the museum accepting them if they were not of artistic merit?” "

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-monument-beautiful-statue_us_5995a71ae4b06ef724d6ef65?ncid=inblnkushpmg00000009

"Trump was once again accused of scrapping historical remains during the transformation of a landmark post office in Washington, D.C., into a “super luxury” Trump Hotel. Six blocks from the White House, the building is “considered an architectural masterpiece,” the NYT explained in 2016. “Built in the Romanesque Revival style, it dates to 1899; it is the tallest high-rise federal building in the city.”

During the development of his hotel, Trump did away with much of the edifice’s original interior, even after pledging to preserve certain elements. He put carpet over the floors, covered up windows, removed plaster walls and installed gold leaf. Eventually, John Cullinane, who was serving as a preservationist architect for the development project, resigned from his position.

“I left because I couldn’t support what they were doing to the building,” he said. “They were covering up or tearing out everything that was historic.”"

"Furthermore, despite the fact that Trump bemoaned “our great country being ripped apart with the removal of our beautiful statues and monuments,” he is actually the only president to ever suggest rescinding a national monument’s status, according to The Atlantic.

In 2016, President Barack Obama proclaimed 1.3 million acres in southeast Utah as Bears Ears National Monument and vowed federal protections for the land deemed sacred to many local Native American tribes. In 2017, Trump described Obama’s creation of national monuments as an “egregious abuse of executive power” and expressed his unclear desire to “free it up.”

According to the Antiquities Act, only Congress can “undo” a national monument after it’s established.

In direct contradiction to his claims on Twitter, Trump has an established record of altering, destroying and fabricating “beautiful statues and monuments.” Particularly when it proves advantageous. To himself."

This comes as no surprise to anyone.
