John McCain STILL pretends to support the idea of a Sarah Palin presidential campaign. Unbelievable! Update!

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

How would Sarah Palin do if she decides to run for president? According to her former top-of-the-ticket running mate, quite well.

"She's very interesting. And I'm sure she'd do great," Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) told The Washington Post Wednesday in a brief interview.

After the 2008 presidential election, McCain has consistently praised Palin, despite her clash with his campaign team. Palin has also defended McCain. The former Alaska governor campaigned for the senator in his 2010 reelection bid.

"She's very interesting." WTF does that mean? Is that just another word for batshit crazy?

Personally I don't know how John McCain can show his face in public considering what he inflicted on this country.

And having him continue to publicly support Palin after the Iowa debacle lends credence to the idea that she has some serious dirt on him.

Either that or, much like Palin herself, he is simply incapable of admitting a mistake.

Which brings us to what happened just today.

Courtesy of AOL:

Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain has kicked protesters out of a budget hearing, calling them "low-life scum."

The upheaval came Thursday on Capitol Hill after members of an anti-war group calling itself Code Pink approached a witness table where former secretaries of state Henry Kissinger, Madeleine Albright and George P. Shultz were testifying. The protesters carried signs calling the 91-year-old Kissinger a war criminal.

McCain blurted out, "Get out of here, you low-life scum."

Oh yeah, he's a peach.

Update: Well it looks like McCain may have his allegiances tested as his OTHER girlfriend is also teasing about a potential run:

South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham on Thursday formed a political organization to explore a potential run for his party's presidential nomination, the latest high-profile politician to test the 2016 waters.

McCain has already gone on record in urging Graham to run, so if there were a contest between endorsing Palin or Lindsey-Lou I am pretty sure I know who really owns the key to his heart..

He is an imbecile with a bad temper, terrible judgment and should be ashamed of himself. The old coot won't ever retire. He will have to die in office and the people of AZ keep putting this joke back into office! Palin has been a plague upon this country, inciting violence and hatred and McCain is ultimately responsible for releasing the plague!

More like what does he have on her. He probable knows she isn't going to run, she can't run because she will never win and that will be the end of her "political' career and SarahPac donations. She will have to spend the rest of her life doing D-rated reality shows on cable channels that nobody gets.

McCain will never admit he made a mistake, that would “ruin” his career, who wants a senator that makes bad decisions (obviously AZ). Obviously by his remark to the protesters exercising their freedom of speech, John and Sarah are birds of a feather, attack anyone who has a different opinion.

Besides, the teabaggers are going after him, so he has to be nice to their queen.

The FBI never bothered with the Mat-Su Valley or Borough. The Meth Capital of Alaska was off limits for the FBI. Until someone wanted to handle Sherry Johnston.

Nothing was revealed about "combat vet" son because they had to get busy creating all this wonderful publicity for the press and connecting him to 9-11 mania to enlist. Bristol's cell phone wasn't part of the bust when the FBI got involved in that small time drug incident.

McCain more than knew about all SP's fakeness, frauds, drugs and what have youse.

In my first full-time job after college, I had a boss who flunked the Civil Service test for her position three times. She was a horrible administrator and everyone who worked for her either quit or retired early, except for the one woman who had a nervous breakdown because of her. She did absolutely nothing except alienate the people we were supposed to be serving with our programs.

The final time she was allowed to take the same test for her job, she suddenly developed back spasms and showed up at the office with a back brace on the OUTSIDE of her clothes. She claimed she couldn't possibly sit still long enough to take the test so they let her take it the next day (against all Civil Service regulations). It was completely coincidental that she called several people who had taken the test that night and managed to finally squeak by with a barely passing grade.

Her husband also managed to get chosen for a big contract to provide uniforms for a major event our agency was running and the rumor was that it was done without a formal bid process.

More than thirty years later, I still wonder what explosive dirt she had and who she had it on!

I am the poster at 12:20 and that woman was the exception to the rule. I've worked in county, state and educational government agencies during my career, and the vast majority of my colleagues have been hard-working, dedicated employees. Most could have made a lot more money in the private sector but chose to work where they could serve the public.

When I left that agency, I began working at another one, running special events. My first summer I worked 21 days in a row with no days off and no overtime. The next position I had with the same agency ended with budget and staff cuts which resulted in me doing the jobs of four people with no raise in pay. There were many months when I worked 6 or 7 days a week, sometimes 12 or 14 hours a day...with no overtime. Because our new Republican governor had decimated our agency budget, I could not get approval to get paid OT but the work had to be done, so I did it for nothing.

Like any group, there will always be the lazy and incompetent exception who takes advantage of the process and gives the rest of us a bad name. However, it is people like you, making ridiculous generalizations like "very typical of Government work/workers at all levels, local, state, fed" who are ignorant, narrow-minded, and just plain WRONG!

You claim NOT to be a repube, yet you certainly mouth off as one.

And 2:20, I need to point out that your statement should have said TRILLIONS, not billions.

I've been in AZ since McCain was in the House, and was instantly turned off by the guy when he ran as a war hero. His own books reveal the truth of him - he's a totally self-centered jackass whose life has been dominated by reckless choices driven by blind ambition. While the Forrestal burned and shipmates were being blown up by the two thousand-pound bombs that dropped from his aircraft, he was alone in the ready room sweating his next promotion. When he was shot down in north V.N., it was the result of his prioritizing his next promotion over the onboard warning that a SAM had targeted his aircraft. And his most reckless choice of all was driven by his ambition to become president. He knows that and so does everyone else. His consistent "support" of Palin doesn't sound at all like support to me. "She's very interesting" is pretty much the epitome of Damning With Faint Praise.

His goons were waiting for me in the hallway and tried to get me to turn around and go back in to reduce the damage of the "insult" of my walking out. You know, make like I went to pee? I told them in no uncertain terms that if they didn't get the hell out of my way I was going to get really loud really quickly - and it wouldn't be something the people in the room with "their man" would want to hear!

And what's even better is I am fairly well known in that town and have a pretty good reputation - despite my atheism - so they would definitely not have liked the results.

That cost him LOTS of votes in that town because I was NOT quiet about it later! Had they just left me alone, I probably would have just kept my mouth shut.

He has had excellent honest discussions about the film American Sniper. What is important to take from all this. How to have a meaningful discussion.

If he came out and stated truthfully that she is not qualified, it would be him admitting to everyone that he made a major and irresponsible mistake in choosing her as his VP. He's just trying to defend his poor decision to save face, even though he knows differently.

Palin would take on corruption and crony capitalists like she did in Alaska. You can take that to the bank. Elizabeth Warren would eat your bank at snack time. Hillary, not so much, she will just eat Sarah Palin with one bite.

PALIN:And we're going to take on crony capitalists who have utterly destroyed the middle class because they've been the ones being able to receive these loopholes and build more loopholes in tax formulas and in favoritism from a federal budget because they can afford the lobbyists and they can afford the lawyers to make sure that laws are written in their favor.

So we're going to take on things like that, that corruption, and we're going to put America back on the right track because America deserves the best. We are exceptional. We're losing that today.

The McCain campaign is definitely demoralized right now. The blame game has begun.

There is no question that there is a rift between Sarah Palin's camp and that of John McCain inside the Republican campaign, sources tell ABC News.

And you are seeing people within the McCain campaign starting to look to the future.

Not only Palin, but many of the McCain staffers, as well, are circulating their resumes and pointing the finger.

Whenever people in the campaign are starting to worry more about their own reputations rather than whether they're going to win in seven days, there is a significant problem.

    The Palin-McCain Conflict
    http://www.theatlantic.com/daily-dish/archive/2008/10/the-palin-mccain-conflict/209498/

I think it's now fair to say it's a war. My view is that after the McCain peeps had made that crazy decision and realized after the fact what they had on their hands, they put their best face on it. They knew that the normal rules for a veep - a press conference, full media accessibility, airing of all the biographical details - would have required the candidate to quit before November. So they tried to shield her from actual democracy - a dangerous decision for the rest of us, but a rational, cynical decision for a campaign running a delusional liar as the potential next president of the US. Palin of course, lives in her own little, somewhat nutty, world and now believes her manifest destiny has been thwarted.

It's a massive, unmissable clusterfuck and has been for two months. They just can't hide it any longer. And the pick is a devastating one - because it basically destroys John McCain's credibility as a presidential decision-maker. His first major decision as a future president is one of the worst in American political history. That alone should be enough to seal his fate next Tuesday. You need nothing else.
