Notice how completely sensible it sounds before Sarah Palin steals it and poops all over it.
I don't find what she said incoherent. And I am no way her supporter. She once had "stuff" but lacks morals so took the easy way out. Many people, and let us be honest here, never knew this was a MLK quote.
She sounded incoherent AND ridiculous, the case of some nasty jerk, trying to steal the quote of a righteous man, like Dr. King. She sounded NOTHING like Dr, King.

And yet, he 'won' twice. But yeah, his speeches were barely more coherent than hers (until this last one, which will go down in history as the one that sent Sarah into rehab.)

That MLK "quote" seems to not appear anywhere before 1999. It could be one of these quotes mistakenly or fraudulently attributed to MLK to advance a view; the strangely mixed metaphors don't sound like MLK's thought and writing at all.
OMG. She had the nerve to try to co-opt something from Dr. King, without even giving him credit? Sarah Palin isn't worthy to wipe the dirt from his shoes. That is the lowest, dumbest, most heinous thing she has done since lying about...everything. I try not to hate, but she pushes my resolve.

I really do like watching Bill O'Reilly interview some folks. I tweeted my little poster at a few different MSNBC people but haven't heard anything. I think that they, like a number of media folks, like to imagine they are finished with Mrs. Palin. Unfortunately PACs and their expenditures are not taxed, so if she used PAC money for the jet she simply has to list it as an expenditure on her Schedule B on the next quarter FEC filing.
If someone gifted her the use of their jet she should have to report that as a non-cash donation to her PAC, since she was going to Iowa to engage in political activities.
The only way she'd owe taxes on the private jet travel is if she was to report it as a "gift" on her personal taxes and then it would be subject to federal taxes.
However, if this plane was already scheduled to fly from Vegas to Iowa and Palin and Bristol were invited along on an already scheduled trip this could be a gray area, enough that she wouldn't have to report it on any tax or FEC paperwork.
Especially if the jet belongs to the Sportsman's Channel or one of it's affiliates or owners. It could have been in her contract that she had use of this jet gratis.

I really do like watching Bill O'Reilly interview some folks. I tweeted my little poster at a few different MSNBC people but haven't heard anything. I think that they, like a number of media folks, like to imagine they are finished with Mrs. Palin. Unfortunately PACs and their expenditures are not taxed, so if she used PAC money for the jet she simply has to list it as an expenditure on her Schedule B on the next quarter FEC filing.
DeleteIf someone gifted her the use of their jet she should have to report that as a non-cash donation to her PAC, since she was going to Iowa to engage in political activities.
The only way she'd owe taxes on the private jet travel is if she was to report it as a "gift" on her personal taxes and then it would be subject to federal taxes.
However, if this plane was already scheduled to fly from Vegas to Iowa and Palin and Bristol were invited along on an already scheduled trip this could be a gray area, enough that she wouldn't have to report it on any tax or FEC paperwork.
Especially if the jet belongs to the Sportsman's Channel or one of it's affiliates or owners. It could have been in her contract that she had use of this jet gratis.
