No Regrets.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Dick Cheney gave an unflinching defense of he CIA's post-9/11 torture program on "Meet the Press" on Sunday, dismissing criticisms of the program's forced rectal feedings, waterboarding and a death.

"It worked. It absolutely did work," said Cheney, a driving force behind the George W. Bush administration's use of harsh tactics in response to the 9/11 attacks.

The Senate report on the interrogation program details forced rectal feedings that were medically unnecessary. But on Sunday, Cheney said the feedings were done for "medical reasons." The former vice president showed little remorse for the dozens of prisoners who were found to have been wrongfully detained, for the man who died in the program, or for people like Khaled El-Masri -- a German citizen who was shipped off to Afghanistan and sodomized in a case of mistaken identity.

"I'd do it again in a minute," said Cheney. He also spoke repeatedly of how the program was justified to get the "bastards" who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks.

Perhaps one of the most evil men in American history.

If we truly were a just nation this piece of shit would be behind bars awaiting execution.

Vile, poor excuse for a human being. I can visualize him watching the torture tapes over and over, with his snarl on his face. He would probably "do it again": regarding Viet Nam - oh wait - HE had 5 deferrments rather than wear a uniform. Where was his mini me daughter, the repulsive Lizzie? Normally she is beside him, cheering him on. Disgusting piece of filth, who nominated HIMSELF for VP. He was supposed to vet the nominees, then chose himself as the best candidate. Halliburton was the big winner in that choice. I hope this hollow person lives long enough to go on trial for war crimes.

Jon Stewart nailed him last night on The Daily Show. His parting comment going to commercial: "I'm going to end on a note of gratitude — something I never thought that I would say. George W. Bush, thank you for not dying while you were in office."

DICK CHENEY’S HEART TRANSPLANT COST TAXPAYERS
      http://www.politicolnews.com/dick-cheneys-heart-transplant-cost-taxpayers/

The facts are that medicare covers heart transplants and the guidelines for who receives a transplant are guided by the patients current condition. Legitimately, Dick Cheney would not qualify for a heart transplant if he was just an ordinary citizen and would have expired by now.

  6. O/T -- the Monday post about SP has received 700 Comments, but you have not posted any sent to you after 8:15 yesterday morning.

You have posted Comments for subsequent posts.

Curious as to why the 300-400 of the SP ones are missing. Is something happening with that post -- forces at work to deny them being viewable? Just wondering.

Too many to vet? too many of the same sentiments?
I wouldn't blame you for giving up on reading them all.
Just want to make sure you know WE out here are not able to see them.

And once again chuck the todd does not do his job and properly question a guest. I imagine that Russert would have done his homework at least and maybe not been so softball. Chuck the Todd? Not so much. I guess he thought it was a score just to get the POS on the show.
That may be overly fond remembrance of Russert since I don't recall him going hard at darth cheney when they were up-selling the iraq invasion but the comparison is still striking.
I haven't watched mtp in almost two years - just not worth my time.

Cheney wants to forget that Shrub eventually came out and admitted he wasn't even looking for Bin Laden anymore because he didn't consider him "important".

-So much for "doing everything to get the bastards".

The Bush administration should be tried as war criminals.

  9. Does Cheney still go hunting? Past rumors about his outings still roll around but it does not seem far fetched to me. Google Cheney: Human Hunting.... This also gives me pause re his security...good times.

Nothing would surprise me about the sub-humans.

Los Angeles Times: "Two Black Hawk helicopters were brought in and hovered nearby as Cheney and Scalia were whisked away in a heavily guarded motorcade to a secluded, private hunting camp owned by an oil industry businessman [identified as Wallace Carline, the head of Diamond Services Corp.] ... the Cheney-Scalia trip drew the attention of local officials because of the unusual security precautions ...

This is totally preposterous, except for the fact that it's Dick Cheney.

One of the citizens who stepped forward yesterday, attorney Tim Murray of Fort Worth, told reporters that Cheney lured him to the ranch last September, supposedly to shoot quail, but that it quickly became apparent Cheney was after bigger game.

You're right. A friend of my son's needed a heart transplant (all situations are different, but the "why" shouldn't matter) He was a high school football player whose heart was attacked by a virus, as his condition continued to fail, the higher up the list his name got. A teen with his life ahead of him, wasted away and died about two weeks after Cheyney's operation was made public.
He wouldn't have been covered by insurance, but his relatives all put their houses up as collateral, in a market where the value tanked miserably.
I got whiplash at how quickly he got the heart, that it matched and is still working to this day.

  14. To be so crass and insensitive- on the two year anniversary of Sandy Hook, no less.

Jon Stewart was ON last night regarding this sociopathic, evil, just slightly more educated rush limbaugh.

Gryphen is correct; if this country had any kind of real justice, Cheney would be in federal prison for the rest of his miserable life.

The most telling part for me was when he said "*I* would do it all over again" - admitting that HE was the driving force behind this!
Here's to hoping, that eventually he will be tried and convicted in an international court of law. May he then rot in hell for the rest of his life (and for all the future lives, if they exist).
